    Out-of-Pocket Expenses

    Claims Guidelines


    This policy compensates you:


    • Relief for unexpected cash outlay to vehicle owners following an accident to the vehicle.

    • Personal accident cover for you, your authorised driver and passengers in the event of an accident.


    General Guidelines & Required Documents


    • Notify us / MSIG immediately for any event that may give rise to a claim under the policy.

    • Complete and submit the Claim Form to us / MSIG as soon as possible together with the following documents:


      For Inconvenience Allowance for Vehicle Laid Up in Workshop following Accident to Insured's Own Vehicle

      • Photographs of the damaged vehicle including full view of the entire vehicle and its registration number.

      • Copies of Police Report and registration card.

      • Estimated cost of repairs

      • Invoices or official receipts for repair to the damaged vehicle stating the commencement date of repair and number of days taken to repair the vehicle.

      • In the event of a total loss, a letter from the insurer of the vehicle stating it as a total loss.


      For Inconvenience Allowance for Theft/ Robbery/ Hijack Loss of Insured's Own Vehicle

      • Copies of Police Report and registration card on the loss of the vehicle.

      • Photographs of the vehicle including its entire full view and its registration number if the vehicle is found to be damaged following recovery due to theft, robbery or hijack together with invoices or official receipts for repair to the damaged vehicle.


      For Inconvenience Allowance on Damage to Windscreen to Insured's Own Vehicle

      • Photographs of damaged windscreen including the full view of the entire vehicle and its registration number.

      • Copies of registration card and invoices or official receipts for replacement of the damaged windscreen.


      For Inconvenience Allowance for Flood Damage to Insured's Own Vehicle

      • Photographs of damaged vehicle including the full view of the entire vehicle and its registration number.

      • Copies of registration card and invoices or official receipts for repair and/ or cleaning to the damaged vehicle.


      For Inconvenience Allowance for Strike, Riot & Civil Commotion Damage to Insured's Own Vehicle

      • Photographs of damaged vehicle including the full view of the entire vehicle and its registration number.

      • Copies of Police Report, registration card and invoices or official receipts for repair to the damaged vehicle.


      For Non-fatal cases

      • Medical Report

      • Original Medical Bills and Receipts


      For Fatal cases

      • Copy of Police Report

      • Copy of Death Certificate

      • Copy of Post-mortem Report

      • Burial Certificate

      • Letter of Administration
