Success story
The Rotary Club of Central Damansara (RCCD) wanted to sponsor a student from France to Malaysia for one year as part of the International Exchange Programme under Rotary International. Rotary International's requirements for such programme are very specific - including compulsory insurance coverage. However, the availability of insurances meeting the requirement of RCCD was difficult to obtain. Past President Karthi stepped in and called me to see if I could assist. MSIG's Overseas Student package was recommended and was found to meet their requirements.
The long and short of it is that Mr Dalle Thibaut arrived to Malaysia on 3rd August 2009 to begin the programme for one year. He is currently staying in the homes of several Rotarians in Klang Valley to understand the Malaysian culture and way of life. The programme includes visits to other cities in Malaysia. The objective of this programme is to promote better understanding of the culture and way of life of both the host & visitor countries.
MSIG's Overseas Student package helped in an international Rotary project and played a small part in the betterment of relations two countries.
