December 2009: Thinking hard and scripting for the agent's webpage
I am most fortunate and honoured to have been selected as a pioneer (only 7 of us) in this project initiative by MSIG to have their agents with their own webpage.
I have to confess that although I have been involved with creation of websites for Outward Bound Of Malaysia Lumut (in 1998), St John Ambulans Malaysia Wilayah Persekutuan (SJAM) (in 2003) aand the recent revamp of the Royal commonwealth Society Malaysian Branch (RCS) website, my role has always been policy and directions.
Somehow it was easier to deal with those websites. It is difficult to write about one self without crossing the line into self praise.
31st December 2009: Happy new year?
Some weird problems cropped up on 31st December. However, those wonderful people (Jee Gwan and team) in the eCommerce of MSIG worked past their office hours (its half day). They did some "tricks" and we can see my webpage online.
They sent me off with assurance that everything will be alright. Phew! At least I get to say goodbye 2009 & hello 2010 at RCS without having to worry about the website.

TravelRight Plus Insurance - Travel Advisory to Bangkok, Thailand
Due to the unstable political situation, MSIG has agreed to accommodate requests of postponement of up to 60 days for all travel to Bangkok commencing March or April 2010, subject to the following:
1) Insured must inform MSIG of his/her intention to postpone the trip
2) Insured must provide the details of the alternative travel arrangement for endorsement of cover on the certificate
3) The certificate will lapse if the Insured did not replace the trip within 60 days of the original travel date
4) No premium refund is allowed in any event
Please note this exception is applicable only for the current situation in Bangkok.
