Claims Guidelines
Golfer's Claims
Claim under a Golfer's Policy may fall under 5 categories:
1. Public Liability 2. Personal Accident 3. Golfing Equipment 4. Personal Effects 5. Hole-in-One Section I - Public Liability
In the event of an accident resulting in accidental bodily injury to any member of the public or accidental damage to property or both and caused on or about the premises insured:
a. Notify us / MSIG as soon as possible
b. Do not discuss on the compensation or issue of liability with the third party and/or his representative without the consent from MSIG. c. Forward to us / MSIG all Writs, Summons and correspondences from any third party, unanswered. d. Submit the following documents to us / MSIG: - Completed and signed Public Liability Report Form
- Internal Report on the circumstances of the accident
- Photographs of damages (if any)
Section II - Personal Accident
In the event of death or injury as a result of an accident.
- Notify us / MSIG immediately for any event that may give rise to a claim under the policy.
- Complete and submit the Claim Form to us / MSIG as soon as possible together with the following documents:
For Non-fatal cases
1. Medical Report
For Fatal cases
1. Copy of Police Report
2. Copy of Death Certificate
3. Copy of Post-mortem Report
4. Burial Certificate
5. Letter of Administration
Section III - Golfing Equipment
In the event that the golf club or other golfing equipment be damaged or stolen.
a. Notify us / MSIG as soon as possible. b. Report the loss to the Club and request for written confirmation. c. For damaged clubs, retain the club for inspection. d. Submit the following documents to us / MSIG - Completed and signed Property Claim Form
- A letter from the Club certifying the loss
- Purchase invoice for missing or damaged club(s)
- Photographs showing the damaged Club (if sending the club back to MSIG for inspection is not convenient)
- Repair bill for damaged club
- Replacement bill for the lost club
Section IV - Personal Effects
a. Notify us / MSIG as soon as possible. b. Report the loss to the Club and request for written confirmation. c. Submit the following documents to us / MSIG - Completed and signed Property Claim Form
- Purchase/replacement invoice for missing item(s)
- Letter from the Club certifying the loss
- Replacement invoice for missing items
Section V - Indemnity For a Hole-in-one
If the insured achieved a Hole-in-one:
a. Notify us / MSIG as soon as possible b. Report the loss to the Club and request for written confirmation. c. Submit the following documents to us / MSIG - Completed and signed Property Claim form
- Score card
- Certificate of achievement
